Partner Support Services

Relocating to a new city for that dream job is certainly exciting for the new hire; it may be less so, however, for the candidate’s spouse or partner who is now faced with having to surrender his/her career or position to move to a new community.

Standardized resources abound for families facing a move.  Lists of moving companies, local chambers of commerce, even local school committees and boards are only a mouse-click away; these resources exist to help transition families into any new community.  Lacking, however, are the individualized career resources for partners affected by a career move.

Over the years, we’ve seen dozens of critical hires fall through at the last minute because of a candidate’s hesitant partner.  Frontier Partners is committed to helping both the client and the candidate, and in an effort to better serve both parties, we have developed a program that helps not only the client secure the important hire but also eases transition anxiety faced by partners impacted by career relocation.  This program is called Partner Support Services.

Partner Support Services aids families, spouses, and partners forced to surrender lucrative positions in their home city so that their partner may accept his/her dream job without reservation.  We believe strongly that there should be no reason the partner cannot also secure his/her very own dream job within the new community.

When Partner Support Services are applied at the outset of a search, often the partner faces little or no disruption in employment; many times both the hire and the spouse step into new roles with their respective employers simultaneously.  When applied at the conclusion of a search, our services can often provide a feeling of security the partner needs, easing the transition of the new hire and allowing him/her to concentrate on the task at hand, confident that his/her significant other is being given the same level of attention the candidate was afforded during the recruitment process.
